We've been spending lots of time outside lately with the cooler weather. Aubrey loves to ride her Dora bike from Nana now that she can reach the "paddles".

The Easter eggs are still a hit in October. Also, notice the short hair -- she got 4 inches cut off! She looks so much older to me now.

I can't believe tomorrow is Will's half birthday! It's gone by super fast, but at the same time it is hard to remember what it was like before this sweet boy was part of our family. He has a very content, easy going personality so far. He's always smiling and still seems to be pretty quiet overall. He is starting to use his voice more, but I think he's going to be a little more calm and soft spoken than his sister. Even though his personality is laid back, he is still a go getter -- he's definitely on the move now! He's crawling all over the place and even cruising along furniture a little bit. He likes to pull up and then let go of one hand and try and take little steps only holding on with one hand. It'll be interesting to see when he starts walking... He's also about to get his top 2 teeth -- I can see the white under his top gums and he's always drooling & biting -- ouch! I'm going to attempt to put some video footage of all his new tricks up, stay tuned...

Aubrey & John had a blast together on Saturday while his baby sister was being born -- welcome baby Betsy!

The other morning Aubrey set up all her toys and said, "There will be fireworks and balloons falling from the sky and lollipops and cake and candy and cupcakes... and cake, it's a big fancy day!"

For the last several days when I go in to get Will up from his nap, this is how I've found him -- he's been pulling up onto his knees. So, Robert lowered the crib last night b/c I was scared he might fall out!

Then, yesterday morning he kept grabbing onto the ottoman and...

Aubrey loves bugs lately. WHile my mom was here last week, one of A's favorite things to do was collect all the dead bugs she could find & line them up. She was always carrying around dead june bugs and even kissed one & said how cute it was -- she does not get this from me.

I have not been very good at posting lately... We've just been busy with the normal, everyday stuff. Aubrey & Will are both growing and changing everyday. Aubrey continues to add to her vocabulary and Will is now sitting well, can push himself to a sitting position and is almost crawling. If I set him down on a blanket on the floor, he will quickly move halfway across the room by rolling, scooting and lunging himself forward. And he's always up on all fours and rocking, so he should be on the move very soon. We have gotten into a routine of walking every morning in the neighborhood and I think all of us are enjoying being outside & getting fresh air. We did not get outside much this summer in the heat. I can't wait for it to start feeling like fall and you might even see Will wearing something besides a onesie once it cools off. I don't know if it is the fact that he's a boy or the second child, but I have been all about comfort with Will and basically the only time I get him "dressed up" has been on Sundays for church. Anyway, we are looking forward to a visit from Nana and Uncle Tim tomorrow. That's about all that's going on with us... Have a good week!

Will finally got to meet his great-grandparents this weekend!

We had a busy weekend, but we were still able to stop by and have a brief visit & dinner with Will's friend, Hunter (& my friend, Carole) -- I love how they're holding hands here!

Here's another blurry picture, but I wanted to share an action shot of Will getting on his knees and trying to crawl. He does this all the time and even likes to get up on his toes. His sister took off at 6 months and never slowed down -- we'll see when this little guy is ready...

We had been trying to make it to Dallas for the last couple months and it finally happened this weekend! Aubrey and Will got to see their great-grandparents, Nana, Uncle Tim , as well as Aunt Susan. Of course we got spoiled with lots of good food & good company and the kids got lots of attention, so everyone was happy... The whole trip home Aubrey kept asking if we could go back to Dallas! I also got to help host a baby shower for one of my best friends & college roommate, Laura. It was fun to get to see her cute pregnant belly and to get to catch up with her and other close friends. All in all it was a great trip and we'll look forward to our next visit!
