Checking out the view. This was our only sunny day -- it was cold and rainy the rest of the time, but we still had fun inside -- visiting, watching the kids & babies play, eating a lot and watching football.

Will meeting his cousins -- Addie & McKellee-- all 3 of them were born within two weeks of each other in April!

An eventful week

We had a fun birthday celebration last week! Robert took the whole week off and we went out to lunch and had a yummy birthday cake that night at home. Then we spent the rest of the night packing and getting ready to leave town the next day for our Thanksgiving trip. Robert's parents rented a big house in Galveston so there would be enough room for all their kids and grandkids.

Be suspicious if your almost 3 year old is quiet for more than a minute or two. Aubrey got the idea to pour out all her shampoo all over the counter and slather it all over her Winniw the pooh stuffed animal. At least it was a "clean" mess.

We all enjoyed a visit from Aunt Joy today. She helped me by playing with the kids, we went out to lunch and then Aubrey was tired out for her nap by the time she left.

Will is spending a lot more time in his high chair lately. He's tried rice cereal, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, squash, peas, green beans, pears, apples, and bananas so far.

I love the detail in the yellow guy Aubrey drew yesterday. She pointed out his eyes, nose, mouth, ears, cheeks, forehead (that's the big red spot), hair, eye brows, arms and hands.

Every day Aubrey likes to gather all her stuffed animals & babies for some kind of party. Yesterday, they got together for an "American Flag Show". Today it was a "Tool shed party". They also have lots of "dance parties" and "big fancy days" as well. Her big lamb chair & pig chair also like to get married a few times a week.

We took a stop at Amy's Ice Cream last week to let Aubrey play and have a treat during our furniture shopping marathon. We sold our couch on craigslist & were waiting on our new one to arrive when we got a letter saying the new couch had been discontinued & they were cancelling our order. So, we're back to square one. The only problem is that most places take 30 - 90 days to deliver so our living room may be empty for quite a while...

I used to just put Will down on a blanket out of the view of the tv if Aubrey was watching something. But now that he is crawling, he made his way over to see what was happening in Elmo's World.
