Where's Will?

We had a big storm last week that only lasted a couple minutes, but took down several trees. This is one of our trees that knocked down our neighbors fence and onto their deck.

We finally had Will's 18 month check-up at 21 months, we're a little behind with moving, etc... Will weighed in at 25 lbs. 14 oz. (25-50%)and was 35 inches tall. They said he was in the 90% for height, which surprised me because I didn't think he was that tall...?

Will loves to wear this towel after bath time. As soon as he gets out, he starts saying, "neow, neow" and then runs to the mirror to look at himself.

Aubrey was excited about "Dad's night" at her preschool, but I had to cut Dad out of the picture because his eyes were closed -- they had a great time though! Aubrey also had her 4 year well check and she is 42 inches tall and weighs 38 lbs. Neither child enjoyed their shots and neither did I, but we're glad to be done with them for a while. Will also has seemed to be fine from his ear infection since Saturday morning, so that has been good :). We did not end up going to Ohio though because he still had a fever on Friday and we didn't feel like we should make the trip. And right now, Robert should be close to landing in Raleigh to attend our beautiful, sweet friend, Kristi Walker's Memorial/Celebration of Life service tomorrow. You might remember I posted a prayer request for her a while back - she passed away on Friday morning. Kristi and all her family are strong believers and know that Kristi is now in her eternal home, but please pray especially for Chuck and their 3 young boys as they deal with this great loss.

Will had fun with all her Valentines, too. He woke up after his nap yesterday with a high fever and after spending the evening at the urgent car clinic, he seems to have a double ear infection. I almost didn't believe the dr. -- I know it is really common, but since neither of my kids have ever had one, I just didn't expect that. He hasn't had a cold or anything to lead up to the ear infection either. Thankfully, the fever came down pretty quickly with some medicine and he was playing and jumping all around like usual. He started his antibiotics this morning, so hopefully he'll get over it as soon as possible. We've really all been healthy for a year, since we all had a stomach bug last Feb., so I'm thankful for that. Now we're just trying to decide if we should still drive to Ohio today...

Ice Skating!

Today Robert took Aubrey ice skating for the first time. I would have liked to go, but thought it would be too hard to chase Will around the whole time. It was nice for me to get a few things done around the house while Will napped and then just actually rest and read on the coach. Yes, I joined the masses and finally checked out Twilight from the library. Anyway, Robert took a few pictures for me and said that Aubrey did great. The first lap or two, she held his hand, but then took off by herself. What a big girl!
