FYI

I wanted to let all my friends that are new to blogging know about bloglines -- I love it, it saves me so much time! If you like to keep up with lots of blogs, bloglines lets you "subscribe" to all the blogs you want. It lists all the blogs you subscribe to and when someone has a new post, it is shown in bold. So, I don't have to click on a million links to find that there are no new posts. It's really easy to get all set up. I have about 30 blogs I like to read and it only takes me about 5 minutes to check them all. Anyway, just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone didn't know about it...

My friend, Andi, that I used to teach with took some pics for me of Will at 3 weeks. Here are a few cute ones... she also took the picture that we used for his birth announcement. He already looks so different to me -- he's lost most of his hair now and he's a lot bigger. He'll be 2 months on Friday and he weighs 13 lbs. 13 oz -- that's almost 5 lbs in 2 months!

Today Aubrey is 2 1/2. These half birthdays are a big deal to me because tomorrow Aubrey will be closer to three than one! She has started calling herself "2 1/2" and she just seems so big to me, especially since the arrival of her baby brother. She says such grown up and funny things that amaze me and make me laugh everyday. I love this post from Ann at Holy Experience a few days back. It captures some of my thoughts and feelings as I reach these milestones and look back on my time as a mom.

My two favorite boys

Aubrey loves to kiss Will and says lots of cute things about him. Today she said, "We're both friends together, two friends, a big girl and a baby boy." She also likes to comment and add words of encouragement for just about everything he does and every sound he makes. Daily she'll say, "What a yawn, Baby Will!", and "That was a good burp, Will", etc... Today I noticed her putting different objects on his head, like a hawaiian lei and a burp cloth for example, and saying, "I'm baptizing Baby Will" -- I thought that was pretty funny.

She was even willing to share her beloved bunny, that she has slept with since she was 3 months old, with her brother

Yesterday after lots of rain, we were drawing on her easel on the back porch and Aubrey had to run over to a big puddle and sit down in it. Since her clothes were already soaked I went ahead and let her play in the water for a while before bathtime. She had lots of fun!
