Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Robert found some $2 tickets online for a Nationals game, so we decided to head back into D.C. for a game after church. It was rainy all morning but it stopped in time and we had a lovely afternoon. A guy offered to take a pic of all 4 of us and we're actually all looking and smiling.

We always pass the sign for "Fort Marcy" on our way home from D.C. Since we weren't exhausted today, like we usually are after a day in D.C., we pulled over for a picture.

Me & A at the game. I think the most fascinating part for Aubrey was when 4 teenagers ran on the field during the game and were chased down and tackled by the security gaurds. One of them had a sign that said "Boycott..." something, but the guards took it away before they could hold it up all the way.

This is me trying to get Will to take a picture... If you notice that I always post more pics of Aubrey, that's becasue she gladly poses while most of the pictures I catch of Will are of the back of his head... silly boy. Anyway, we had a relaxing day at Nationals Park and hope to take a few more fun outtings before Aubrey starts Kindergarten in a few weeks. The countdown to September 8th has begun...

Biking & Bugs

Aubrey has been asking to take her training wheels off for a while now. We finally got around to it and took the leap.

She's not quite riding on her own with out the training wheels, but we hope to get some more practice in this weekend. She got really excited when we'd let go and she'd balance for a few seconds. I wonder how long it'll take before she really takes off?

Will has been content on the tricycle for now.

After some bike riding, Aubrey spotted a big grasshopper on a tree. She wanted to show Will, but kept him protected from a distance.

The Wink

I have been noticing lately that in all of Aubrey's drawings, all her people and animals are winking. I don't know where she picked up on it, but I think it's really cute. Here's a picture she drew during church...

In the moment, I always think I'll remember all the cute things they do and say. I

know I won't remember it all though, so hopefully I can keep this blog up a little better and have somewhat of a record... One quick thing, every day recently, Will tells me my name is "Kisses." He also told me, "Your body is full of hearts," and later that day, "Your heart is full of kisses." He also asks me to wear a skirt everyday because he likes to hold on to the edge and snuggle with it. Good thing for him that I've been wearing the same two cotton skirts about every other day this summer, so he usually has his lovie available.
