Aubrey was excited to attend her first baseball game of the season -- the Houston Astros were in town to play an exhibition game against the Express. Aubrey loves going to the Dell Diamond -- playing with her friend John on the berm, tasting new foods like cotton candy, seeing fireworks when there's a homerun, and even watching the game on occasion. She also likes participating in all the crowd activities, like cheering and doing the chicken dance.

36 weeks pregnant... Aubrey's almost a big sister!
Aubrey had a great time with her friends who visited from Louisiana this past weekend! Aubrey is right between them in age and so she enjoyed playing with both of them in different ways. Here they are staying entertained as we waited for our table at Chuy's.

After many hours of digging up grass and shoveling 6 tons of gravel, Robert finished Aubrey's play area last week. Now he has less to mow and edge around and we don't have to worry about the sandbox or anything killing the grass. Aubrey has been asking to spend lots of time outside lately, so I think all the manual labor was worth it.
Aubrey has been sleeping in her "big girl room" in her "big girl bed" for about a week now. For some reason, I was really worried about moving her, but she has done great! She doesn't climb out until she wakes up in the morning so I think we'll at least have this transition down before baby boy arrives in 1 month!

Aubrey would do "hook em horns" to any and every animal we saw with horns. She's also started calling all burnt orange cars "hook em horns cars" with out any prompting
Grandma Pam & Grandpa Isaac came to visit this weekend. Aubrey enjoyed practicing throwing & catching this blue ball and screaming and squealing really loud the entire time

I was folding laundry today and I looked over and Aubrey had drawn several faces! I had never seen her do this before. Before she had drawn lines, zigzags, and circles. I asked her about her pictures and she pointed out a "piley(smiley) face", "straight face" and a "frowning face". She drew them on her Aquadoodle which disappears in a few minutes, so I had to take some pictures to record her new accomplishment!
I had a fun weekend catching up with my 4 closest friends from college (Amber, Laura, Jenny, Jessica & me). We went out to Jenny & Tim's family's lakehouse and did lots of talking, cooking, eating, and relaxing. It was so much fun to catch up with all the girls and get away for the weekend. Robert took great care of Aubrey while I was gone. They went on lots of fun outings -- bike rides, walks, to her first movie, out to eat, to an inflatable jumping place, to church... I think they had a great time, too!
